Rosell and Laporta attend funeral Samaranch

Barcelona president Joan Laporta [picture below] and Barcelona presidential candidate and former sports vice-president Sandro Rosell [picture above, on the left] attended yesterday the funeral ceremonies in Barcelona of Juan Antonio Samaranch, who was the president of the International Olympic Committee from 1980 to 2001.

  1. Why would they want to attend the funeral of that money-swindling, Franco-worshipping Fascist ?

  2. when you're climbing up the social ladder, values can at some point become more vague.

in general, barcelona has mixed feelings on the person of samaranch because his nagative points are - for some more, for others less - balanced by his role in the city being able to organize the olympic games in 1992, which has been a huge moment for barcelona.

there will be a minute of silence in the camp nou on saturday, althought it's expected the minute won't be respected by all...

pd. for the freaks: the man whose back we see in the centre of the picture above is santi nolla, director of 'el mundo deportivo'.
