Barcelona president Joan Laporta [picture below] and Barcelona presidential candidate and former sports vice-president Sandro Rosell [picture above, on the left] attended yesterday the funeral ceremonies in Barcelona of Juan Antonio Samaranch, who was the president of the International Olympic Committee from 1980 to 2001.

ReplyDeletein general, barcelona has mixed feelings on the person of samaranch because his nagative points are - for some more, for others less - balanced by his role in the city being able to organize the olympic games in 1992, which has been a huge moment for barcelona.
there will be a minute of silence in the camp nou on saturday, althought it's expected the minute won't be respected by all...
